Italeri Scale Models 1/35 Scale: IT294 SdKfz 234/1 2cm KWK. Beginning in 1944 the heavy armored car was supposed to replace all similar vehicles of the German Army. Several variants were built to explore the anti-tank role and artillery support task. This version, equipped with a 20 mm gun was the first one to be used by reconnaissance units. It was a reliable cross-country vehicle, but its armament proved inadequate against similar enemy vehicles, which were generally equipped with 37 or 57mm guns.
