CMKT35017 Volkswagen Type 230 - Gas Generator. The Volkswagen Beetle was designed in the studio of Ferdinand Porsche & produced in Germany since the late 1930's. In 1943, owing to the shortage of fuel, a wood gas generator was developed, which was mounted mostly on civilian vehicles.
