The heavy infantry of this period are quite different from the infantry of the heyday of the Empire. No more do they have the lorica segmentata, rectangular scutum and pilum we are so familiar with. They have now gone back to chain mail, spears and javelins and a huge oval shield. Our future set #8100 of medium and light infantry will complete the infantry of this period
