The key feature of the idiosyncratic Isetta was the steering column thatswung round on a cardan joint with the front door when it was opened. The "bubble car" was driven by a 250 cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine that had been developed from the engine of the BMW R 25/2 and delivered 12 hp.
