The Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft is based on the SU-24M bomber and is used to provide both land and air forces with up-to-date intelligence information during day, night, and all-weather conditions. The aircraft intelligence collection systems are mounted internally and on external hard points. The external hard points are also capable of carrying both free-fall and smart bombs ranging in weight from 100 kg to 1500 kg. Additionally, the Su-24MR can be armed with air-to-air missiles for defense against enemy fighters.
