Good for a first-timer warm up

When I first bought this model I was a little sceptical about the maker's name. However, it is a very good model for what it is, simple yet well-made. The research on the warship is good, though this type of vessel would have been few in numbers by 50 BC- having been phased out by the quinquereme.
For first-time model builders, in general or those moving on from vehicles to ships, this is a great little model to warm up on.It's quite easy to build with only the rigging creating difficulties, but once you get your head around it, it becomes very simple to do.The only set back to this model is the 'suggested' colour scheme, the maker's put too much gold into the colour of the ship. I'd recommend you use more primary colours and keep the gold to a minimum, substitute it with a brass colour has worked rather well. All in all, it's a good little model, so enjoy.
