Dragon extends its scintillating line of Japanese subjects in the Armor Pro 1/72 scale plastic kit collection. The latest item is a Type 95 Ha-Go light tank. Introduced into service in 1936, this armored vehicle weighing just 7.4 tonnes was designed primarily as an infantry support weapon. Indeed, it was the most common light tank used by the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA), with about 2,300 units manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It had a crew of three, and the main armament was a Type 94 37mm gun. Its maximum speed was 45km/h. The Type 95 Ha-Go participated in the Soviet-Japanese Border Wars that simmered along the Manchurian border in the 1930s. For example, a total of 35 Type 95 tanks from the 4th Tank Regiment of the 1st Tank Corps participated in the Battle of Khalkhin Gol in July 1939.
