Revell Aircraft & Helicopter Models: R04053 Junkers G38. The G38 was the largest landplane of its time. From the summer of 1931 the G38 flew with 30 passengers on the Berlin-Hannover-Amsterdam-London route. As a special attraction, the glazed leading edge of the wing was equipped with 6 seats. The success of this luxuriously appointed "giant aircraft" soon impelled Lufthansa to build a second one. The number of passengers was increased to 32. The G38 quickly became the popular & attractive flagship of the Deutsche Lufthansa AG & its worth was well proved in use. The G38 D-APIS remained in long-haul service with Lufthansa until the start of World War II.
