This special version of the Porsche 935 was extensively modified by a private team for the famous race on the Daytona circuit in the U.S during the 1980 season. The modifications to the aerodynamics & the systems were so extensive that the car was not officially considered an evolution of the original vehicle. During the competition the car held front running positions right from the start of the race & finished victoriously.
