Another top-quality kit from Orion. These guys really do their homework for these things, the figures are accurately detailed right down to things like some of the men are wearing green headbands (this is a common sight amongst Chechen rebels signifying a pilgrimage to Mecca) and most of the male figures have beards. Again, the figures are armed with a wide range of weaponry such as the ubiquitous AKM assault rifles and RPG launchers. I did have one small niggle with this kit though, it contains figures of rebel leaders Dzhokar Dudayev and Shamil Basayev - twice each! Im sure Orion could have found a way round this. A little duplication is one thing but two of the same figure when it is meant to be an actual person is just weird! This kit is not really for younger modellers, some people may find this kit inappropriate as it contains some figures holding a machete in one hand and a severed head in the other. I dont know if Orion were trying to make some kind of political point but this is actually a practiced act by Chechen rebels visited upon prisoners and hostages. Another accurate figure is the fighter carrying a video camera. All in all, another well made kit. If it wasnt for the duplication of the two warlords (now both deceased) it'd get top marks!
